His biggest fan- Shintarou Midorima~

the basketball team of...
Shutoku High

Your P.O.V

“Hi!” you chirped and wave you hand excitingly at the tall teenage boy. “ My is name is (surname) (name),” you gave him a short bow before continuing.” and I'm looking for Midorima Shintarou.” The young man who had black, short hair and very dark brown eyes nodded his head and let you inside. It seemed that the moment you mentioned your cousin's name, the boy's eyebrow twitched.
“Ah... So you must be the cousin Midorima talked about, right? I'm Otsubo Taisuke and I am the captain of Shutoku High's basketball team. It's nice to meet you (name)-chan.” you looked around the gymnasium.

The big room were filled with many boys around Shintarou's age. They were either playing basketball together in groups or practising by themselves. But you couldn't find Shintarou anywhere, 'that meanie!' a silly pout appeared on your face.
“ Um... Otsubo-senpai, where is Shin-kun? I can't see him.”
“ Hm? Midorima is practising over there with the other players in the first string.  Let's go over to him and say “hello”, okay?” Taisuke glanced down at you and offered you one of his hand.

You gratefully took his hand and skipped along beside Otsubo-senpai. Once you reached the very end of the sport hall you spotted a familiar greenharied player. Your (e/c) eyes lit up and you quickly rushed over to your cousin. You had a smug grin on your face as you  sneaked up behind Shintarou who did what he always did during practice. Shooting threes like a boss! But not really paying any attention to his surroundings.

“SHIN-KUN!” You squealed suddenly and wrapped your arms around his legs. The first string's attention to their first year. Midorima had froze in mid-action of shooting the basketball trough the hoop. He had an enormous blush on his cheeks and he hadn't moved from his place for a good while now. The (h/c) girl on the other hand was happily babbling as she jumped at Shintarou's feet. After picking you up, you clung to his shirt and immediately calming down.

“Oi, Shin-chan. You know that I don't care if you're dating someone older or younger, but seriously: don't you think she is a bit too young for you, Shin-chan?” a raven-haired boy snickered at your cousin.
“She is my younger cousin, Bakao! I was supposed to babysit her today if it wasn't for this extra training, nanodayo.” the green eyed boy replied but Kazunari was more interested of you.
“ Hello Shin-chan's cousin. My name is Takao Kazunari, what's your name?”
“ I'm (surname) (name), Bak-Takao-senpai.” Shintarou gazed at you while babbling with his team mate.

“Midorima! Takao! What are you doing?! Get back to practice right now or I'll make you regret it deeply.” an angry voice boomed across the court. A blonde boy stomped over to the three of you, giving the boys a death glare.
“Calm down Miyaji-kun, you are scaring the little girl.” Shinsuke, the boy with short black hair warned his teammate in a calm yet stern tone.
“Yeah Senpai! Be nice to (name)-chan, she is just a little girl you know~!” Takao agreed but it only took Kiyoshi one glance to silence his kouhai.

“(name). How about we go to that bench over there and put down your backpack?” Shintarou suggested and successfully got away from his senpais' wrath.
You hummed in reply as you were placed down on the ground again.
“ Did you pack everything you need into your backpack, right?”
“Yes.” you answered
“Even your lucky item for today?” he said in a monotone voice.  You nodded your head and showed him the (2nd f/c) (f/animal) plushie after taken it out of the bag.
“ Good.  Why don't you just play with it while I am practising, nanodayo.” Shintarou turned around, walking back to the basket hoop.
“ Okay Shin-kun. Good luck!” you smiled.
“Whatever...” he huffed.

Even though Shintarou might not always show love or affection towards you, you were sure that he cared about you deep down. It had been many times you had wondered why your cousin acted so nice to you when the two of you were alone, often playing with your toys or reading books. But the moment you stepped outside, the green haired teenager would turn a bit emotionless and would acted strange. You had asked you mother why he did that and she told you that Shintarou had some trouble with expressing his feelings. And that your cousin maybe wanted to act tough and cool in front of other people.

You thought the explanation was super weird, but then again: you were at the aged when many things seem strange or odd.
“-me)-chan? Oi (name)-chan~” someone called out cheerfully.
“Hm?” you glanced from side to side, not seeing anyone that could have said your name.
“Up here (name)-chan.” turning your (e/c) gaze upwards you saw Takao-senpai looking down at you.
“ Hi Takao-senpai. What is it?”
“ I was wonder if you would like to play a game with me and Shin-chan?”
“ What game?” tilting your head to the side, giving him a confused look.
“ Trust me (name)-chan. This is going to be hilarious, hehehe...” Kazunari assured you, starting to tell you about the game or more like his prank.

~ Time-skip brought to you by a cooking Kagami Taiga~

Midorima Shintarou watched as yet another ball he had shot went trough the hoop without any problem. He had done this so many times since he entered Junior High that he could probably do this routine in his beauty sleep. Maybe it was beginning to get a bit boring doing the same thing over and over again, but it really didn't matter. As long as Shintarou fulfilled his duty with shooting threes that went into the basketball basket the team and himself were happy. Though recently Midorima had started to enjoy spending more time with the team, but he would never ever admit it.

The green eyed  boy let out sigh and trotted right across the court to picked the basketball. Shintarou went back to his start point, planing to make one more shot before going back to (name). Getting into the shooting position, Shintarou was only a few seconds from shoot when a  big, dark shadow loomed over him. The large figure jumped up the same moment he released the ball.
“ Surprise Attack!! Ahahahaha!” the figure cried and with a tiny hand it blocked the basketball.
' Wait! A tiny hand?!' Shintarou blinked a couple of times and the figure, or rather the figures became clearer.

Standing before Midorima were his annoying “friend” Takao and (name). Takao held a tight grip around the girl who was high up in the air, swatting her small hands around.
“What are you doing, Bakao...?”  he asked in a dark tone. Kazunari's face paled as a dark aura emerged around Shintarou.
“ Oops! I-I think it's time to go... Run (name)-chan! Run!”
“TAKAOOOOO!”

You ran as fast as you could trying took get away from your angry cousin who was chasing you and Takao-senpai. In reality though  he was only after Takao but you didn't know that. It was going well until you lost your balance and tripped. Your knee hurt very much and you carefully sat down on the floor. You glanced at your knee, seeing that it was bleeding.
“ Owwie~!” you whined and you (e/c) eyes started to tear up. Even though it wasn't a big injury, but it still hurt badly. You wanted Shintarou to comfort you!

“ Shin-kun!”. Tears were running down your cheeks now. Due to the fact that you hadn't learned how to control your emotions  yet, you didn't know any other way to express your discontent.
“ Don't cry (name). I'll fix it, nanodayo.” your cousin shushed you as he scooped you into his arms gently.
“Shin-kun~... it hurts.” you told him while he hummed back at you. He walked over to the captain who was at the moment talking to other players, from some other string.
“Oi, captain. I need to speak to you now senpai.”
“What is it Midorima?  If it's about you and your three daily selfish actions, then I don't want to hear it!” Taisuke barked at his younger teammate, not even bothering to to turn around to face Shintarou.

“ I need to leave practice early today captain.” this caught Otsubo's attention and the older male spun towards the two of  in a matter of seconds.
“What?! Why would you do that? You have never done it before. What is so special this particular practice?”
“ (name) hurt herself and I would consider it to be the best if we went to the school nurse” your cousin simply said as he was not that affected by the harsh look he had received from his senpai.
“ Pretty please Otsubo-senpai. It really hurts!” You whimpered and gave the poor captain a sad puppy-look that he couldn't say no to.

“* sigh * Fine, just go already. But you have to more careful from here on (name)-chan. Is not very nice of you to make your cousin worry.” Otsubo ruffled your (h/l) (h/c) hair before the green haired boy started to walk away from the court.
“I promise I will, bye Otsubo-senpai!” you called back and the captain waved back at you before going back to his own training.

When you got to the school nurse, you met a very nice lady who took care of your wound. It  had most likely been over sooner than it was. It was just that you were really curious about the different medical instrument and stuff in the room, that you asked  many questions. Fortunately the old lady didn't mind having the discussion with you and luckily there were no one else there who needed help. So you could talk to the nurse without being interrupted.

Shintarou didn't mind either because he was busy with his phone.  When you asked him what he was doing, he told you that he was texting someone. Then a couple of minutes later after he put down the mobile phone in his pocket, you could hear angry knocking on the other side of the door.
“ Midorima! Open the door!”
“ Did you bring me my bag?” Takao stomped over to your cousin. You thought he looked very angry, glaring at Shintarou.
“ I hope you're happy you traitor. Because of you leaving practice earlier, all our senpais beat me up, but they didn't do anything to you. Jerk!” the raven-haired male hissed at his best friend.
“ Don't be stupid, Bakao. You're the one who created all this trouble for the team, thus you're the one who must take the consequences nanodayo.” the green haired teen explained and picked up his bag.

“Let's go home (name).”  you said good bye to the nice lady and took hold of  his right hand.
“ Good bye Takao-senpai. Hey Shin-kun, can we watch (f/ movie as a child) when we get home?”
“Sure, whatever you say (name).”
“ Yay! Thank you Shin-kun. You're the best cousin in the whole wide world.”
“ Y-you're welcome.” Midorima looked away, trying to hide his blush.
“I really like seeing you play basketball, Shin-kun. You look so cool when you play.” you chirped at him.

' Why does she have to be so cute?!' your cousin asked himself while he continued walking on the pavement, with the adorable (h/c) girl who talked to him, smiling brightly. ' Maybe it's because she is... my biggest fan? Yes, that's probably it.'

~Extended ending a few weeks later~

Shintarou's P.O.V

“Oi, Shin-chan. It's time to go now, our senpais have already gone to the court.” Takao told him and opened the door to the locker room.
“I know Takao but I am waiting for (name) to bring my lucky item. She  should be here any moment now nanodayo.” as if on cue,  a knock could be heard coming from the other side. (name) peeked inside and rushed over to Shintarou.

“  Hi Shin-kun!” you chirped, hugging him tightly.
“ Hello (name). Did you bring the item I asked for?” the young man with green eyes glanced at the (h/c) haired girl.
“Mm-hum! Yeah.” she nodded her head eagerly and gave Shintarou a glittery, orange frog plushie.
“Thank you (name). Now let's go nanodayo.” he took his cousins hand in his right while he held the  toy in his taped left hand.

“H-hey! Where are you going Shin-chan?!” Takao stumbled after them.
“ We're heading to the court, what else would we do?”
“But we can't bring her with us. Our senpais will be very, like super mad at us if we do.
“ Of course not, don't be stupid Takao. If I told them the only way for me that I could get today's lucky item was to let (name) sit on the bench with us, they will surely understand. I will just request it as one of my three daily selfish actions. Beside- they like (name) very much, I don't think they would mind.” Shintarou defended his action.
“Well... they might like (name), but do the like us enough not to beat us up for it Shin-chan.”
“...” Midorima didn't dare to answer the question. The teens faces becoming paler as they preprepared themselves, for what would with 99.9% guarantee come.
